Well, Tartlets, by the time I sit down to write you my customary end-of-the-year-and-happy-holidays post, I usually know exactly what I’m going to say.
This year, as one would expect from 2020, I’m lost for words.
So, I’ll keep this brief since I’m sure everyone has gift wrapping to finish up, or a Netflix show to un-pause, or work to pretend to do.
Thank you, everyone, for being loyal Tartlets and for encouraging me in every step of my reading, writing, and culinary adventures! You make me excited to keep doing what I do, and I love the community that’s sprouted up around me since I started the Tart in 2018. Connecting with you on the blog and on social media are truly highlights of my day, and I’m so grateful for all of you.
As of last Friday, I’m officially on holiday break from my “day job” until January. I am PSYCHED to have about two weeks to relax, unwind, and celebrate Christmas. My Great, Big Plans for my break include reading a lot of books, watching season two of Virgin River (I’ve been saving it especially for my vacation time!), lots of hygge-filled winter walks followed by well-earned treats, tea, and hot cocoa, and snuggling up with my cat beside the Christmas tree.
What are your plans for the holiday season and the end of the year?
As usual, I’ll be taking a blogging break in January, which means no new blog posts until February. But, I’ll still be posting every day on Instagram and Facebook, and reluctantly here and there on Twitter, so I’ll see you on social media until I’m back with some new posts!
Have a very merry, safe, healthy, and socially distant holiday season, everyone.
Love, books, and carbs,
CJ xoxo
Have a very Merry Christmas and a happy healthy new year. ( don’t eat too many cookies/ cakes!)
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, Mary! You know me well — of course, I’ve eaten WAY too many baked goodies this week! 🙂
